I have the first of the potatoes on the window-sill to get started. What you want is some good shoots on the seed before you get it into the ground. You should place them into a light area that is about 10 degrees celsius. The first is P.Charlotte, this is the potato that we grow to use for salads, we will lift them from the ground as and when we need them. This potato holds very well after it is cooked. I hope to get these in the ground in two weeks and we would hope to harvest them in just under fifteen weeks. They may need fleece over them to get them started.
