The rhubarb now has a cover on it of the straw that was on the outside of the compost heap, it is about the only work we will do on the rhubarb I have to say, you can read about lifting the plants splitting them and adding new compost to the soil, I have to say I am far to old for such a job, the root system on these old plants are so big, if it was going to be carried out I would need to get a strong young 18 year old boy in to carry out the job by day. Miscanthus had a great day, she finally found the rats nest in the compost heap, hope it was the only one.
